Rasak Fadipe, director of Lagos state fire service, confirmed the incident to NAN, saying it occurred around 2am.
Fadipe said the inferno affected the boys’ quarters of the church while a vigil was going on at the main auditorium.
“We met the fire raging when we arrived. It was after the fire was put out that we discovered the little girl’s burnt body in one of the rooms,” he said.
“The church authority was yet to ascertain the cause of the fire. We finally put out the fire at about 5am.”
