Reports are emerging of a possible candidate in Barcelona’s attempts to add a sponsor to their Camp Nou home, with Grifols the company in question.
A world leading pharmaceutical multinational in blood-plasma derived products, Barcelona-based Grifols operated to a profit of over 500 million euros in 2015.
Radio Catalunya claim that negotiations between the two parties are advancing with a contract worth 15m euros per season over 30 years in the offing. That sum would comfortably beat the Blaugrana’s original hopes of a 200m euro deal when setting out to add a sponsor as a surname to the Camp Nou, also surpassing the world record 200 million US dollar agreement that renamed the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
