According to a Naij report, the development committee of the NFF had previously confirmed Le Guen as the new head coach, with top French journalist Herve Penot rejecting the claims.
Taking to his Twitter account to clear the air, Penot revealed that the Frenchman will not be coming to Nigeria since his conditions were allegedly not met by the NFF.
Pour info : Paul le Guen n’ira pas au Nigeria. Les conditions pas réunies pour être sélectionneur. Rien à voir aujourd’hui avec la sélection

Paul le Guen will not go to Nigeria. Conditions not met to be coach . Nothing to do with the selection,” the tweet reads.
