The “Famous” saga continues. Kim Kardashian has reignited the controversy over Kanye West’s Life of Pablo single by posting footage that shows the 1989 singer seemingly approving the song. Mrs. West uploaded the series of clips to her Snapchat account on Sunday evening.

Kanye can be heard reading portions of the lyrics to Swift. “For all my Southside ni**as that know me best / I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex,” he says.

He also explains to Taylor that he doesn’t “want to do rap that makes people feel bad.”

She can be heard thanking him for the heads up. “Umm, yeah go with whatever line you think is better,” she says. “It’s obviously very tongue-in-cheek either way. And I really appreciate you telling me about it. That’s really nice.

“I really appreciate it, the heads up is so nice,” she continues. “Even asking or seeing if I would be OK with it and I really appreciate it. I would never expect you to like tell me about a line in one of your songs.”

Taylor goes on to thank Kanye for the flowers he sent her following the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.

“I don’t think anyone would listen to that and think that’s a real diss, she must be crying,” she says. “You’ve gotta tell the story the way that it happened to you and the way that you experienced it. You honestly didn’t know who I was before that. It doesn’t matter that I sold seven million of that album before you did that, which is what happened, you didn’t know who I was before that. It’s fine.”

There have been conflicting reports as to whether Taylor knew about the lyrics prior to the song’s release. Kim Kardashian claimed Swift approved the lyrics, but Taylor’s camp said otherwise.

In February, her rep released a statement addressing “Famous.” “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous.’”

Shortly after the phone call footage was released, Taylor responded with a note on Instagram. “That moment when Kanye West secretly records your phone call, then Kim posts it on the Internet,” she said.

Kim, as Swift notes, did not post any footage of Taylor approving the lyrics, “I made that bitch famous.”

“Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination,” she writes. “I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009.”
