Niger Delta Avengers confirm blowing up AGIP oil pipeline


Niger Delta Avengers on Friday confirmed launching a bomb attack on pipeline belonging to Agip oil.
The resurgent militant group which has so far claimed responsibility for recent pipeline attacks took to its tweeter handle; @NDAvengers said the incident occurred at about 3:00 a.m. this morning.

The tweet reads, “3:00 a.m. on Friday. Niger Delta Avengers blow (sic) up the Obi Obi Brass trunk line belonging to Agip ENI. It is Agip’s major crude oil line in Bayelsa State.”

In a similar vein, suspected militants on Thursday night launched an attack on a pipeline belonging to the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.

The attack was carried out at about 7.40pm around Shalomi Creek in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.
