Manchester United have been handed a welcome surprise in their turbulent 2024-25 season, with Amad Diallo reportedly set to return to training next week following a lengthy injury layoff.
The 22-year-old winger has been sidelined since February with an ankle injury picked up in training ahead of a Premier League clash with Tottenham. At the time, there were fears that his season could be over but Amad appears to have made a remarkable recovery ahead of schedule.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news:
“Amad Diallo, set to be back in training with Manchester United squad already next week! Despite initial expectations for season to be over after injury, he’s recovered in record-time…and so Amad will be available for training from next week.”
Amad has been one of the few bright spots in a disappointing season for the Red Devils, scoring 9 goals and providing 7 assists across all competitions. His performances — especially under Portuguese manager Ruben Amorim, who deployed him effectively in a wing-back role had brought hope to United fans craving creativity and energy on the pitch.

With the Premier League season already a write-off United currently sit in the bottom half of the table focus has shifted to the Europa League, where they are still in the hunt for silverware. The first leg of their semi-final clash with Athletic Club kicks off on May 1, and there’s now a real chance Amad could be part of that squad.
Before then, United face Bournemouth this Sunday, a game that could serve as a momentum-builder ahead of their continental push.
