The Senior Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Center, Bolaji Idowu, has announced a welfare initiative aimed at supporting unemployed church members with monthly financial assistance.
Idowu disclosed during a church service on Sunday that members who actively serve in the church but are currently without jobs will receive N50,000 monthly for three months.
According to the cleric, the initiative is designed to help affected members stabilise financially while they seek new employment opportunities.
All those that serve in church that are in between jobs — you used to have a job and you lost it — for the next three months, we’ll be giving you N50,000 every month to help you till you get your next job, Idowu said.
He explained that the financial support would apply to leaders and workers serving in various capacities within the church, stressing that one of the core responsibilities of the church is to care for its members.
One of the things the church should do is to be there for one another… to help them stabilise, he added.
The pastor urged eligible members to register with the church administration, noting that the process would be straightforward due to the trust built through their service.
