The announcement on Tuesday comes one year after parting ways with Now Muzik, the longtime firm that previously handled his affairs.

In a statement shared on his Instagram page, the singer introduced his freshly assembled team, emphasising a strategic shift to amplify his brand and legacy.

The statement, signed by Mary Ebubedike, the head of legal and communications for A Guy Entertainment, described the transition as a pivotal moment in 2Baba’s three-decade-long career.

It added that the company will oversee his music releases, brand partnerships, global engagements, and creative collaborations, ensuring his influence continues to expand both locally and internationally.

This exciting transition comes with the unveiling of a new management team, carefully assembled to reinvent and amplify every facet of BABA’S brand. This move reflects a renewed focus not only on his rich musical legacy but also on the limitless potential that lies ahead in today’s evolving African entertainment landscape, the statement reads.

With a career spanning over thirty years, BABA has redefined Afro-pop and inspired countless artists. His timeless artistry, advocacy, and global appeal are hallmarks of excellence, and this new team has been brought on board to build on that legacy.

From music releases and brand partnerships to global engagements and creative collaborations. The team will manage the full spectrum of his career, both locally and internationally.

The new management team is made up of seasoned professionals in music business, branding, digital innovation, and entertainment law, all committed to strategic, value-driven decisions that reflect 2BABA’s identity and unmatched standards.

In the coming months, fans and industry partners can look forward to a powerful rollout of new projects, live experiences, and social impact campaigns that will further define BABA’S next era.

The 49-year-old first rose to fame in the 1990s, composing jingles before co-founding the iconic group Plantashun Boiz with Blackface and Faze in 2006.

Since then, he has solidified his status as one of Afropop’s greatest pioneers, influencing generations of artistes.

His departure from Now Muzik in March 2024, after 20 years of collaboration with manager Efe Omorogbe, marked the end of an era.
