5 Star Ebere Eze On Target As QPR Fall To Sheffield United

Nigerian wonderkid Ebere Eze continues to live up to the hype as he put up a man of the match performance as Sheffield United came from behind to win 2 – 1 at Loftus Road, condemning QPR to a second loss in as many matches under boss Steve McClaren.

Eze who was on from start to finish was outstanding for the Rs playing in the creative number 10 role and quiet unsurprisingly got QPRs only goal of the game.

The 20 year old who just recently signed a new contract keeping him at the club showed his intent from the start as he got the first major chance of the game when he latched on to a good knock-down by Sylla to unleash a powerful volley on goal which was saved by Sheffields Dean Henderson.

Ebere came close again in the 20th minute but Henderson saved comfortably once more.

It was 3rd time lucky however for the Nigerian when in the 29th minute Bidwell fired in a low cross from the QPR left, which was cleared by the United players in the box easily enough, but only as far as Eze who fired in a belter into the bottom corner of the net finally beating Henderson and scoring QPRs 1st goal of the season.

However Sheffield rallied back and Billy Sharp equalised shortly before half-time to cancel out Ebere Eze’s opener and then they wraped up all 3 points when David McGoldrick converted a controversial 65th-minute penalty.

Ebere nearly had a second with a couple of second-half efforts but it was not to be

His compatriot at the club Bright Osayi Samuel was brought on in the 2nd half of the game.
