In a new interview Howard Stern, Jada Pinkett dispelled rumours that she and Will Smith were in an open marriage. The actress was reminded of a statement she made on Oprah about Will and if he wanted to be with another woman he could “as long as he could look at himself in the mirror.” Many fans began to assume that Jada had confessed to having an open marriage with Will then. While speaking with Howard she said;
“Look, I’m not here to be anybody’s watcher. I’m not his watcher. He’s a grown man.”
“Here’s the deal, Howard. You’ve gotta trust who you’re with,” Jada said. “Here’s what I trust: The man that Will is… is a man of integrity. He’s got all the freedom in the world. As long as Will can look himself the mirror and be okay? I’m good.”
She also said she got married “too young” at age 25 in 1997. In fact, when asked if she’d advise her kids against getting married, she said, “Heck yeah, don’t do it.” Luckily, she acknowledges that Will is a “gangster partner.”
