Afrobeats sensation Davido Adeleke has revealed that if he hadn’t risen to fame as a musician, he would have pursued a career in the film industry. Speaking in a candid conversation with content creator Darryl, the singer shared insights into his business marketing background, which sparked his broader interest in entertainment.
“I studied business marketing, so I would have still been in the entertainment space, but probably more behind the scenes,” Davido confessed.
The award-winning artist also revealed his plans to venture further into the African film industry. According to Davido, he’s set to invest in several film projects this year, aiming to tap into the rapidly evolving space.
“I am investing in a couple of films this year. Shoutout to my director, Dammy Twitch. We have some ideas, series coming. The film space right now in Africa is going bankruptcy. So, we are definitely going to tap into that,” he shared enthusiastically.
In a surprising revelation, Davido also disclosed his acting aspirations, revealing that he’s already showcased his acting skills in several of his music videos, including hits like ‘Jowo’ and ‘Nwa Baby’.
“I can also act. I can act for real. I act in my music videos,” he proudly stated.
