At least 100 houses were destroyed in Zogirma village, located in the Bunza Local Government Area of Kebbi State, following a heavy downpour that lasted for several hours on Friday night.

A resident of Bunza, Haruna Danmalam, who disclosed the incident to newsmen, also reported that many villagers sustained serious injuries as a result of the flooding.
During a visit to the affected area, the Secretary of Bunza Local Government Area, Umar Mawo, expressed sympathy to the victims on behalf of the Local Government Chairman.

He assured the residents that the council would compile a comprehensive report on the incident and submit it to the state government for necessary action.
In a related development, four villages in Arewa Local Government Area, Tungar Chindo, Tungar Kure, Feske Malabawa, and Feske Rafi, were also submerged by floodwaters. Over 60 houses were destroyed, along with livestock and properties worth hundreds of thousands of naira.
