Nollywood actress Lizzy Gold has revealed that her long-standing feud with colleague Destiny Etiko was fueled by gossip within the movie industry.
In an Instagram post celebrating Etiko’s birthday, Lizzy disclosed that the pair stopped speaking for two years due to false narratives spread by rumour mongers.
Two years ago, we separated as friends because of too many them say in Nollywood, Lizzy wrote. I became lonely because I don’t make friends easily like you do. Thank God you realised you were deceived and came back to me.
The actress praised Etiko’s sociable nature and described her as one of the few people who truly understands her, adding that she admires her colleague’s ability to connect with others effortlessly.
Lizzy also addressed those spreading rumours, saying she has grown immune to negativity and no longer has the energy for gossip. She prayed for blessings and protection over Etiko’s life, urging her never to allow outside influences to come between them again.
