ThankGod TG Omori Jesam, the Nigerian music video director, has opened up about the staggering cost of his kidney treatment.
In August 2024, the cinematographer revealed that he had a kidney transplant at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos. The 30-year-old said his only brother donated his kidney for the transplant.
Omori also disclosed that he was recovering and determined to overcome his health challenges. He assured fans that he will make a comeback in 2025.
In recent posts on X, Omori broke down the exorbitant costs of dialysis in Nigeria, saying he pays 100,000 per session, and that some patients requiring three sessions weekly.
He also argued that his six-month medical bills is enough to buy two GLEs and a C300.
Dialysis is about 100k plus per session, sometimes you need 3 sessions in a week, minimum wage is 70k. Knowing this facts brought me tears in the hospital cause no hope for the common man, he wrote.

Presidential aide Dada Olusegun however countered that dialysis is subsidised to N12,000 in federal hospitals.
In Federal Medical Centres all around the 6 Geo-Political zones, dialysis costs #12,000 per session under this administration. Please verify, Olusegun wrote while quoting Omori’s tweet.
Born in Cross-River state, Omori grew up in the Agungi area of Lagos state. He started his career at age 20 after graduating from PEFTI Film Institute. He has won numerous awards for his craft.
