The emphatic win, fueled by Osimhen’s relentless attacking prowess and contributions from Eren Elmali, Nicolo Zaniolo, and Leroy Sane, solidified Galatasaray’s early dominance in their title defense campaign.

The match began with Galatasaray asserting control from the outset. In the 6th minute, Osimhen nearly opened the scoring, firing a low shot from inside the six-yard box, only to be denied by a stunning save from Kayserispor goalkeeper Bilal Bayazit.

Undeterred, Osimhen continued to press, and in the 30th minute, he unleashed a powerful strike from the edge of the box, again thwarted by Bayazit’s heroics.

The breakthrough came in the 36th minute when Eren Elmali capitalized on a goalmouth scramble, slotting the ball home from point-blank range to give Galatasaray a 1-0 lead.

The second half saw Galatasaray double their advantage just 20 seconds after the restart. Elmali, proving his aerial prowess, met a precise cross with a perfect header into the right post, making it 2-0.

The defining moment for Osimhen arrived in the 86th minute when Nicolo Zaniolo’s pinpoint pass found the Nigerian striker in front of an open net, allowing him to tap in his first goal of the season, sparking wild celebrations among the traveling fans.

The rout was completed in stoppage time when Leroy Sane added a fourth, sealing a 4-0 demolition.

Osimhen’s goal was a testament to his growing influence at Galatasaray, where he made history last season by scoring 37 goals, including 26 in the league, to secure the Super Lig Golden Boot and Player of the Season honors.

His permanent €75 million transfer from Napoli this summer, a Turkish record, has raised expectations for the 26-year-old to lead Galatasaray’s quest for a third consecutive title.
