Eucharia Anunobi, the Nollywood veteran-turned-evangelist, has shared words of advice to young women, asserting that sexual prowess is not the key to securing a man’s commitment to marriage.
In a video posted on her Instagram page, the seasoned actress and life coach argued that no matter how much a woman tries to satisfy a man sexually, it is not a decisive factor in whether he will propose.
Ask yourself this: you have given him every single style there is — like snake in the monkey shadow and mosquito in a flying-saucer, she quipped, using humorous metaphors to emphasise that exhaustive sexual experimentation does not guarantee a lasting relationship.
Anunobi advised women to seek a deeper transformation instead. She directed her followers to the Bible verse Romans 12:2, which states, Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
It is only God that can make an individual do the right thing, she added, stressing that genuine, divinely-inspired change is more powerful than worldly efforts.
The advice appears to come from a place of personal experience.
Anunobi, 60, married Charles Ekwu in 2000 and had a son Raymond Ekwu. They divorced after six years of marriage. Raymond died from sickle cell complications in 2017, aged 15.
Following Anunobi’s divorce from Charles, the actress filed a 100 million-naira lawsuit against him in 2010.
Since stepping away from the movie industry, she has dedicated her life to ministry, now working as a gospel preacher, conference speaker, life coach, and writer.
