The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face the Pharaohs of Egypt in a friendly game ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Read more: Super Eagles to play Egypt in AFCON 2025 warm-up matchThe Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced that the game was arranged at the request of Egypt’s head coach, Hossam Hassan, who wants to test his squad against one of Africa’s top teams before the tournament.
Egypt will also compete in the UAE International Tournament, where they play Uzbekistan on November 14. Cape Verde and Iran will face each other a day earlier, and winners from both games will meet in the final on November 18.
The Super Eagles’ friendly with Egypt is scheduled for Sunday, December 14, at the Cairo International Stadium.
Before that, Nigeria will participate in the 2026 World Cup African playoffs in Morocco. The Super Eagles will play Gabon on November 13, and if they win, they will meet either Cameroon or DR Congo on November 16.
