Sunshine Rosman, the Nollywood actress, has opened up about her choice to live free from alcohol and cigarettes, attributing her infectious energy and joy to a natural, God-given source.
During an interview on the Open Up podcast, the film star addressed the frequent curiosity she receives about her vibrant party presence.
Rosman explained that people often see videos of her dancing with high energy and assume she must be drinking, but she clarified that her exuberance is entirely self-generated.
She elaborated that her energy is most authentically expressed during post-production celebrations with cast and crew, which she prefers to random club outings.
People often ask me what I drink after seeing my videos. I don’t drink. I don’t smoke either. But guess what? If we’re at a party, I’d be more turnt than anybody in that room, she said.
I went to film in Enugu, and the production team organised a cast and crew party, and I love celebrating with cast and crew members, especially when we’ve created a beautiful body of work.
Those are the kinds of parties I like to be at — not just randomly at a Lagos club. We were dancing and partying, and when I saw myself in those videos, I was like, Jesus, who is this girl?
Somebody asked me what I drank, and I said, Nothing. I don’t drink anything. I don’t need anything to influence me. I have all the happiness and highness I want inside myself. God has given it to me freely. I don’t need to take anything to feel that way.
Rosman also shared how she navigated the profound grief of her father’s passing. She revealed that she coped by immersing herself in her work, using it as a channel to process her emotions.
