Alexx Ekubo will be laid to rest on June 18 in Abia State

The family of the late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has announced the details for his funeral, with rites set to conclude on June 18, 2026.

Alexx Ekubo passed away on May 11 after a battle with kidney cancer.

In a statement shared via his Instagram page on Monday, the family urged the public to continue praying for the late actor, his wife, and the entire family during this difficult time.

According to the funeral arrangements:

• A service of songs will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at The Monarch Event Center, Lekki, Lagos, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Guests are requested to wear white.
• The wake keep is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 7 Ekubo-Okwaraeke Avenue, Aziukwukwa, Ujari Village, Arochukwu, Abia State.
• The funeral service and interment will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2026. The service will be held at Mary Slessor School, with interment following at the family residence, 7 Ekubo-Okwaraeke Avenue, Aziukwukwa, Ujari Village, Arochukwu, Abia State.
• A reception will be held immediately after the interment at Mary Slessor School, Amanagwu Village, Arochukwu. Attendees are also expected to wear white.

The family appreciates the support and prayers of well-wishers as they bid farewell to the beloved actor.
