Kira Taiwo, the daughter of late Nollywood veteran Taiwo Hassan, fondly known as Ogogo, has penned a heartfelt tribute mourning her father’s passing.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Kira opened up about the immense pain she feels and her struggle to come to terms with his loss.
“My daddy. THE BEST. I can’t even get a hug anymore… This is what heartbreak means, mehn,” she wrote, expressing the deep void left by his absence.
Kira also shared her sorrow over an unfulfilled wish—that her father never had the chance to meet her unborn child. “I love you, Daddy, but I just wanted more time, more time, more timeeee to meet my second baby. Thank you ooo TAIYE,” she added.
Her latest tribute follows an earlier post where she shared a touching message exchange with her late father. In the exchange dated July 26, Ogogo had encouraged her to remain strong and not to cry. “How are you? I heard you are crying. Seeing you and your sisters smile is making me strong. If you cry, it will make me sad, and I will start to think. Be strong. I am strong… don’t cry, my princess.”
According to Gidipoint, Taiwo Hassan passed away on August 23 at the age of 66 after a battle with stage-four cancer.
