Ibadan came alive as Afrobeats sensation Afolarin Odunlami, popularly known as Fola, hosted his highly anticipated homecoming concert.
The event, held at Agodi Gardens on October 3, featured a dynamic lineup of top Nigerian artistes.
Fola made a striking entrance in a green-and-white agbada, complemented by a matching abetiaja cap and black traditional beads. He kicked off the night with what appeared to be an unreleased track, immediately captivating the audience.
Throughout the evening, Fola kept the energy high with a blend of his hit singles and collaborative tracks, including ‘B4 B4’, ‘Very Soon’, and ‘You’. He was joined on stage by several notable artistes such as Ayo Maff, TML Vibez, T.I Blaze, Bella Shmurda, Kidd Carder, and Magixx, each delivering crowd-pleasing performances.
Celebrities and socialites, including Yhemo Lee and Kamo State, were also in attendance, adding extra glamour to the night. A standout moment occurred when Fola invited a fan who had tattooed his face on his arm up on stage and pledged to gift him N500,000.
Fola rose to greater prominence after signing with Dangbani Republik, Bella Shmurda’s record label, in October 2024.
He has steadily gained traction in the Nigerian music industry, earning 10 nominations in the upcoming edition of the Headies Awards, including a nomination for the Next Rated category.
