Blessing CEO Denies Drug Addiction Allegations Following Prison Release

Blessing Nkiruka, widely known as Blessing CEO, has refuted allegations of drug addiction.

The social media influencer addressed the rumors during a recent video call with actress Doris Ogala, who later posted their conversation on Instagram.

During the call, Doris informed Blessing that, while she was in detention, rumors had circulated online about alleged drug use, with some people suggesting she needed rehabilitation and should not receive financial support.

In response, Blessing stated, “Yes, mama, I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, and I don’t even party. Most times, the internet just has a way of enjoying themselves.”

Earlier this year, Blessing CEO was arrested and arraigned by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on June 9, 2026. She faces a two-count charge of obtaining money by false pretence and stealing, involving ₦69,150,000.

Blessing is accused of receiving the sum from Onuoha Okeigwe, a prosecution witness, for a five-year lease on a property she allegedly misrepresented as her own. She pleaded not guilty to the charges. The case was adjourned to October 26, 2026, for further proceedings.

Blessing CEO has also come under public scrutiny for her breast cancer fundraising efforts. In January, she revealed her breast cancer diagnosis and solicited donations for surgery. Businessman Alafaa Kariboye-Igbo claimed to have transferred ₦20 million to her and later requested a refund. Blessing later described the incident as a ‘miscommunication’ and clarified that she received ₦13 million in donations.
