Nigeria have made an approach to Liverpool starlet Sheyi Ojo in an attempt to secure his international future.
Ojo has made a taking impression in the 10 appearances he has been given by Jurgen Klopp this season, scoring one goal and making three assists, the most recent of which came against Chelsea on Wednesday.
He is well-regarded by the Football Association and has represented England at every level from Under-16 to Under-19 level but the same was true of Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi, who elected to commit to Nigeria in March.
The 18-year-old, who is expected to start the final game of Liverpool’s campaign at West Brom tomorrow, is in no rush to make any decisions at this point in time but it is a measure of how quickly he has developed that Nigeria are already want him on board.
