Bostwana invite Super Eagles for Independence Anniversary friendly

The Zebras of Botswana, have invited Nigeria’s Super Eagles, to play in a friendly match to mark their 50th independence anniversary.

Bostwana will celebrate 50 years of being an independent country on September 30 and are planning a series of events to celebrate the landmark.

It is likely that players from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) will feature in the game, as it will not fall within the FIFA-friendly window.

Before then, the home-based Eagles will take on Tanzania on September 4.The match is a mere formality, as Nigeria can no longer qualify for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
