For the third consecutive Olympics Usain Bolt claimed the gold in the Men’s 200-Metres with a sensational wire-to-wire victory on Thursday night.

The legendary Jamaican sprinter crossed the line with a time of 19.79 in what was another dominating performance.

The feat also completes an unprecedented “triple-double” for Bolt, who claimed the gold in both the 100 metres and 200 metres at the Beijing, London and now Rio Olympics.

Running out of Lane 6, it was all Bolt from the start, as he exploded off the blocks and held the lead the entire time to claim the eighth gold medal of his storied career.

Bolt will look to close out his storied Olympic career with an astounding ninth gold medal later this week in the 4×100 metres relay.

Rounding out the podium was Canadian Andre De Grasse in second with a time of 20.02 and Frenchman Christophe Lemaitre in third at 20.12.
