Willow Smith is being allowed to grow up way too fast — and hanging with the wrong (and age-inappropriate) crowd + generally absent parents will only end up being a big, emotional mess for the 13-going-on-hipster twentysomething young girl.
During a recent interview, Willow was asked all sorts of questions about relatively reasonable things: her child career, and regular old things that all kids are into, like music, and sometimes fashion, when you’re a teen. All of the answers, guys, were concerning. Every single one of them.
Here, what she said about her favorite accessory:
“[A pair of heels from Karl Lagerfeld.] They make me feel like I’m a sophisticated Amazon woman.”
On her style:
“My style is who I am all the time, and who I am always changes.”
On her burgeoning music career:
“I have enough songs to make an album, but most of the songs I don’t like. … It’s going to be something outlandish, something that nobody can imagine, something that comes from me and only me. Something we need right now.”
It’s interesting to listen to her speak — and tweet: one of her more memorable gems was about the government and French fries, and said this: “We all need to learn how to harmoniously live on this planet without frying it like those systematic French fries the government feeds us”) — but it’s upsetting to know that it’s coming from the mouth of someone who’s not even close to being an adult, or maybe even a true, chemical adolescent yet. This is still a child, y’all.
Can somebody get some baby dolls and Tonka trunks and video games for this girl to play with for a bit ASAP? Because she needs something to ground her a little bit more, and you just know it’s not gonna be Will and Jada, for shame.
