Nigerian forward, Isaac Success has ended a 22-month drought as Watford beat Reading to progress in League Cup.
The 22 year old scored his first goal in 1 year and 8 months in Watford’s 2-0 over Reading in the Carabao Cup.
Success scored in the 37th minute skillfully dribbling past Walker in goal for reading after racing clear of his markers to connect to a cross from the left from Adam Masina.
The Nigerian was deadly all through the game and could have scored 3 early in the second period after he first headed narrowly over from a centre from Kiko Femenia, before nodding wide after Masina had crossed from the left.
Domingos Quina scored Watfords 2nd with an absolute thunderbolt to wrap up the game
The Nigerian international was a record signing back in but then struggled at Watford no thanks to disciplinary issues, his lifestyle off the pitch and nagging injuries.
He was shipped off to Malaga in Spain where he spent part of the 2017-18 season in a largely unsuccessful loan spell.
Isaac Success’ last goal came on October 1, 2017 in Watford’s 2-2 stalemate against Bournemouth in an EPL game.
