Emiliano Sala is thought to have been on a small plane that disappeared over the English Channel on Monday evening.

The aircraft was travelling from Nantes-Atlantique Airport to the Welsh capital.
According to British media, the Argentine forward was on board and was flying to Wales after having signed for the Premier League club during this winter transfer window
Rescue helicopters and boats set out to try to find the aircraft, but the search was unsuccessful and wasn’t helped by the weather conditions in the English Channel.
Guernsey’s police force reported that the search started at 20:50 on Monday evening, 20 minutes after the most recent contact with the aircraft, and that the focus was on the area north of Alderney.
