Hussle’s debut album, ‘Victory Lap’, had been nominated for the ‘best rap album’ category at the 2019 Grammy Awards against Cardi B; Mac Miller; Pusha T; and Travis Scott.

Hussle has worked with huge names in the entertainment industry including Drake, Childish Gambino, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, Young Thug, Snoop Dogg, Ne-Yo, Dom Kennedy, among many others.

The Crenshaw rapper was also actively involved in his local community, having worked against gang violence and spearheaded an art initiative called ‘Destination Crenshaw’, an open-air museum that aims at featuring local art.

The deceased rapper had, prior to his death, sent out an ominous tweet which read “having strong enemies is a blessing”.
