Disney on Tuesday announced on social media that Beyoncé will be producing and curating a new album of songs featuring global recording artists and “steeped in the sounds of Africa, titled: The Lion King: The Gift.

The album will be released July 19th, the same date the film will hit cinemas, Disney said.
Beyoncé will be voicing Nala, the lion who becomes queen, in the upcoming Disney musical drama which also stars Donald Glover, James Earl Jones, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Billy Eichner, Seth Rogen, Alfre Woodard and John Oliver.
