The House of Representatives is considering a motion urging its members to take over the functions of the Edo House of Assembly in line with the constitution.

This is according to the sponsors of the motion is to enable the proper inauguration of the Edo State Assembly.
The motion was brought by Julius Ihonvbere, Peters Akpatason, Johnson Oghuma, and during plenary by the House of Representatives.
While the deliberation continues, some lawmakers are asking for investigation before the House takes the final decision.
