Bruno Fernandes has called on Manchester United to adopt the perfect mentality as they look to build on their Europa League success following a 5-2 aggregate victory over Real Sociedad.
United initially fell behind at Old Trafford, but Fernandes’ two penalties turned the game around before he sealed his hat-trick. Diogo Dalot then added a late goal in stoppage time to secure a spot in the quarter-finals, where United will face Lyon.
Despite a disappointing season, the Europa League remains a beacon of hope for the Red Devils. Fernandes has now urged his teammates to use the win as a turning point.
Fernandes: “At This Club, It’s All About Results”
Speaking to TNT Sports, the United captain emphasized the need for consistency in the final stretch of the season:
“This club is all about winning. We need to win games. We have a long way to go, but if we focus on every game ahead and have the right mentality, we can win.”
He also stressed the importance of confidence in football, adding:
“We are making good progress, but the progress will only matter if we get results. At this club, it’s all about results.”
