2Baba, the iconic singer, has declared Grammy-winning artiste Burna Boy his personal number one artist in Nigeria.
The hitmaker praised Burna Boy as the senior among the current generation of Afrobeats stars during an interview on Urban Radio.
2Baba, whose hit ‘African Queen’ was recently named the best Afrobeats song of all time by Billboard, emphasised Burna Boy’s leadership and consistency.
There are some people already up there. Among them, we have the ones who are plain hardworking, and we have the ones who have the talent but have decided to do the commercial thing, he said.
We have Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Tiwa Savage, Asake, Adekunle Gold, Olamide; it’s a long list. But on a personal level, Burna Boy is my number one.
Although I still have others whose style and the way they carry themselves I really like, to answer this question, Burna Boy is my number one right now.
