Cardi B, US rapper, and Offset, her husband and fellow musician, have taken to social media to announce the arrival of their second child together.
The lovebirds took to their individual Instagram pages on Monday to share photos of themselves and their bundle of joy on the hospital bed.
In a terse post, Cardi B revealed that she welcomed the baby on September 4.
“9/4/21,” she wrote in the post. Offset also accompanied his own post with a note which simply reads “Chapter 5.”
Cardi B first broke the news of her pregnancy in June after she showed off her baby bump while performing alongside Offset at the 2021 BET Awards.
The pair tied the knot at a low-key event in 2017 and welcomed their first child — Kulture Kiari Cephus — on July 10, 2018.
The union came under threat last year after Cardi B filed for divorce amid allegations of infidelity against her husband. But the pair eventually reconciled.
Cardi B had previously opened up on the reason for her planned split from Offset at the time.
“I just got tired of arguing. I got tired of not seeing things eye to eye,” she had said.
“When you feel like it’s not the same anymore before you actually get cheated on, I rather just be.
“Nothing crazy out of this world happened. Sometimes people really do f–king grow apart. I’ve been with this man for four years. I have a kid with this man.”
