Popular Nigerian influencer Geh Geh has stirred up controversy online after boldly claiming that Davido’s newly released album, 5ive, is just average.
The outspoken personality didn’t hold back as he gave a blunt breakdown of why the album failed to impress him.
Here’s what he said:
- Unnecessary Collaborations
Geh Geh believes 5ive was packed with features that didn’t add value — especially calling out the Chris Brown feature. “A lot of Nigerians don’t really care about these international features anymore. Davido should’ve used that space to spotlight upcoming talents.” - Lack of Evolution
According to him, Davido’s sound hasn’t evolved in over a decade. “Since the days of Dami Duro, nothing has really changed. Same beats. Same style. Same energy.” - Missed Opportunity for Growth
Geh Geh said Davido had a chance to redefine his sound and brand with 5ive, but he played it safe instead. “He’s not trying new things. That’s why the album feels mid. No growth, no excitement.”
