The father of Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny alerted Egyptian police that a dead body had been found under the patio at the house the player is building in Mahalla al-Kubra in Egypt.
The country’s security forces and secret police went to inspect the house when they heard the news, and they subsequently opened an investigation to determine whether this is a criminal case.
The investigation department informed the Prosecutor’s Office and after, they proceeded to undertake an autopsy before burying the corpse.
Elneny, who joined Arsenal in 2016, is yet to make a statement.
