How Yahoo boys killed romance in Nigeria,- Erigga

Nigerian rapper Erhiga Agarivbie, popularly known as Erigga has claimed that fraudsters, also known as Yahoo Boys are responsible for the decline in romance in the country.

While speaking during an interview with Yanga FM, Erigga explained that these internet fraudsters spend extravagantly on women. He added that this in turn has made it difficult for other men to please women financially.

Erigga explained that a lot of men now base their value entirely on their finances and women now date for survival.

Yahoo boys don kill romance. Romance no longer exists. When last did you see two lovers holding hands together in the street? It has been long we saw such. The problem now, is that we are raising weak men who feel their entire value is in their pockets, he expressed.

he rapper added that romance used to be affordable back in the day, stating that both men and women are to be blamed for the new standards.

Nowadays, relationship is expensive. It used to be meat pie… very affordable back then. And the women were very appreciative. But men also share in the blame, weak men are the ones who set the standards -women took and raised the bars, he added.
