Controversial relationship therapist and influencer, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has spoken out following the arrest of her fiancé, auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, aka IVD, by the Lagos State Police Command.
IVD was reportedly detained at the airport while attempting to travel to Qatar. His arrest is linked to a long-standing domestic violence case dating back to 2022, which involved the tragic death of his wife, Bimbo.
Taking to her Instagram account on Tuesday, Blessing CEO passionately defended IVD, maintaining his innocence and alleging that he is being unfairly targeted.
They are pushing me so hard. I will drop this love and come out with my full garment. They are bullying IVD, and it’s getting out of hand. IVD is innocent. I am not a coward; these people are using my man. I won’t tolerate this anymore, she wrote.
In a follow-up post, she questioned the legality of the arrest, citing the absence of an official case file or court order barring his travel. She also revealed that IVD’s passport had only recently been reissued after going missing for two years.
According to her, the police have given no formal statement but intend to hold IVD until the following Monday.
Blessing CEO characterized the situation as one of emotional manipulation and abuse of power, claiming her partner has been under great pressure since the case first emerged.
