Jack Wilshere has completed a season-long loan move to Bournemouth. The Cherries agreed to pay Arsenal a fee in the region of £2million to secure the coveted midfielder, and will cover all of his £80,000 per week wage.Roma, AC Milan and Crystal Palace were all in the chase to land the 24-year-old, with Palace prepared to stump up a loan fee but not all of the player’s salary.
But following a day locked in talks about his future, Wilshere opted to sign with Eddie Howe, who hugely impressed the England international when he met with the Cherries boss on Tuesday.
Howe convinced Wilshere that Bournemouth would provide him with the ideal platform to revitalise a career blighted by injury.
The promise of a place at the heartbeat of a side looking to cement itself in the top-flight appeals to the Arsenal player.
So too, does the prospect of working with a bright, young English manager, seeking to establish his team as a Premier League staple.
