Juventus cut the salaries of Cristiano Ronaldo and other players at the weekend following the suspension of all Italian sports due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The cuts, which also affects Coach Maurizio Sarri begin in March and end in June.
The club’s highly-paid stars Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who joined from Arsenal on a free transfer last year.
Ronaldo earns $663,000 per week, roughly $35 million per year. Ramsey earns 518,000 dollars a week.
“The economic and financial effects of the understanding reached are positive for about 90 million euros ($100.5 million) for the 2019/2020 financial year,” said a club statement.
“Juventus would like to thank the players and the coach for their commitment at a difficult time for everyone,” the Turin giants said.
