The song, Win or Lose, was initially released in the 70’s but it gained recognition again after being used in an American Eagle ad by Sydney Sweeney.

The suit claimed that Lizzo unlawfully sampled the song, making them lose profits.

The artist’s representatives however defended that the song is be to be registered under any copyright or royalty societies in the US.

We are surprised that The GRC Trust filed this lawsuit. To be clear, the song has never been commercially released or monetised, and no decision has been made at this time regarding any future commercial release of the song, they stated.
