Luis Enrique Martínez is set to remain in charge at Barcelona
It turns out that the manager from the Asturias region of Spain has decided not just to see out the second year of his contract, but to extend his relationship with the club by at least one more year (until June 2017), having led the ‘Culés’ to their second-ever treble.
The extension of Luis Enrique’s contract, which is likely to be signed today, Tuesday, will be the third move made by Bartomeu prior to stepping down as president so he can run for the club elections on 19th July.
First came the signing of Aleix Vidal, then the extension of Dani Alves’s contract, before finally turning to the extension of the first team manager’s contract, which now only needs official confirmation from the club itself.
