Jose Mourinho’s Roma got back to winning ways in Serie A on Thursday evening as they edged Udinese 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico.
Ex-Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham got the only goal of the night to continue his lively start to life in the Eternal City, and he keeps on winning the Giallorossi fans’ hearts. Prior to kick off, the Englishman was seen singing along to the club’s anthem on the pitch, and then went on to get the winner.
Roma didn’t have everything their own way though. Udinese caused a number of problems for their hosts and came close to levelling on a couple of occasions.
Late on, the hosts were reduced to 10 men as Lorenzo Pellegrini was harshly dismissed for a second yellow card after challenging for a header.
Mourinho’s men held on though and they now have 12 points from their five games so far, leaving them fourth and three points off leaders Napoli.
