Olakunle Churchill, the ex-husband of actress Tonto Dikeh, has opened up about their reconciliation, expressing joy after reconnecting with their son, King Andre.
The reconciliation, announced by Dikeh on Saturday, ended a decade-long public feud between the former couple. In a post on Instagram on Sunday, Churchill revealed that he received a call from his son for the first time, during which the child addressed him as Daddy.
He praised Dikeh for her role in raising their son and affirmed his commitment to co-parenting with care, respect, and mutual understanding.
I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call from my son, King Andre, for the first time. Hearing him call me Daddy was deeply touching and a reminder that what God cannot do does not exist, Churchill wrote.
Faith has a way of bringing clarity, humility, and peace. I acknowledge the growth and grace evident in the manner in which this matter has been resolved. Forgiveness has paved the way for a new chapter, and we are moving forward with a sense of peace and mutual respect.
Churchill added that he is grateful for the opportunity to be back in his son’s life and thanked Dikeh for her role in raising King Andre.

Churchill and Dikeh, who tied the knot in 2015, ended their marriage two years later, though the union blessed them with their son. Since their split, the former couple have often exchanged words publicly, including a heated social media exchange in 2020.
