Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has revealed that he was offered a huge sum of money to campaign against 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi—but he turned it down.
This revelation comes after the rapper publicly demanded that Obi support his new album, “The Machine Is Coming”, arguing that he had previously backed the politician with “sweat and blood” during the last general elections.
Many criticized Odumodublvck’s approach, calling it disrespectful, but he has now doubled down on his stance, saying that he sacrificed his life for Obi and deserves some level of support in return.
Odumodublvck Speaks Out
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote:
“ASK ABBAS I WAS OFFERED MONEY I HAD NEVER SEEN TO CAMPAIGN AGAINST MR PETER BUT I TURNED IT DOWN.
TELLING HIM TO PROMOTE MY NEW ALBUM IS NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK AS I AM NOT THE ONE TO SEEK FAVOURS.
I SACRIFICED MY LIFE FOR THIS MAN.
NO WAM.
THE MACHINE IS COMING.”
Mixed Reactions from Fans
While some supporters praised the rapper for his loyalty to Peter Obi, others felt he was demanding too much from the politician.
A fan reacted:
“So your support was transactional after all?”
Another user added:
“You sacrificed your life? Na wa o. Why all these entitlement talks?”

As of now, Peter Obi has not responded to Odumodublvck’s demands. However, the controversy continues to generate buzz, with many waiting to see if the politician will eventually acknowledge the rapper’s request.
