Cubana Chief Priest, the Nigerian socialite, has responded to the backlash over his decision to kneel before President Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima, the vice president.
The businessman, who was accompanied by Afrobeats star Davido and music executive Ubi Franklin to the presidential villa in Abuja last week, triggered mixed reactions after footage of him kneeling before the president went viral.
He further stirred controversy by openly declaring support for Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
This came just days after another photo of Cubana kneeling before Shettima had already drawn sharp criticism online.
Addressing the backlash in an Instagram post, Cubana dismissed his critics, accusing them of jealousy rather than genuine concern.
He compared their insults to the criticism Tinubu faced before becoming president, suggesting that their negativity would only fuel his success.
Cubana reaffirmed his loyalty to the Tinubu administration, declaring that he would continue to support the president’s mandate in all aspects of his life.
