Pasuma breaks silence on attack in Osun State

Popular Fuji musician Pasuma has spoken out following the recent attack on his convoy in Ikire, Osun State, describing the chaos as the actions of a few misguided individuals among an otherwise loyal fanbase.

In a video message shared with fans, Pasuma recounted the events that unfolded during his visit to the town, where he was scheduled to perform at a local hall.

According to him, the turnout was overwhelming, with a crowd so large it exceeded the capacity of the venue — a testament to his strong following in the region.

The person who invited me arranged a hall, but the crowd that came out was more than half the population of the entire town. Everyone wanted to see me in person,” he said.

To accommodate those who couldn’t gain entry into the packed hall, organizers provided a large screen TV outside for fans to watch the show live. However, some individuals refused to remain outside and attempted to force their way in.

Pasuma explained that when security operatives intervened to maintain order and block the entrance, a group of thugs among the crowd began to throw stones at his vehicles, damaging the windscreen of his Hilux and Hummer bus.

Importantly, the Fuji star debunked rumors of gunfire, clarifying that no shots were fired during the incident, despite earlier reports suggesting otherwise.

There was no shooting, Pasuma emphasized. It was the stones that broke the windscreens of my vehicles.

While condemning the violent behavior, the veteran singer took a balanced tone, expressing gratitude to his loyal fans in Ikire and urging the public not to judge the entire community by the actions of a few troublemakers.

I have so many committed fans in Ikire. But there’s no town that doesn’t have such elements — those bad boys, he stated.

Pasuma’s calm and measured response has been widely praised by fans, many of whom have taken to social media to express their support and condemn the incident.

Despite the setback, the Fuji legend reassured his fans that the incident would not deter him from continuing to perform across the country and share his music with those who love and support him.
