Paul ‘Play’ Dairo, the Nigerian singer, has advised men against hiding under tradition to cheat on their wives.
The musician was speaking on the rising cases of infidelity at homes in recent times via his Instagram page on Monday.
Dairo said men who cheat on their wives should expect similar treatment from their partners.
“If you are ready to cheat on your wife, be ready for her to cheat on you, tradition ko…,” he wrote.
“The Bible says love your neighbour as your self. If you think you can hide under tradition and start behaving anyhow. Todays woman no send you. You go hear am!”
His comment comes amid the controversy trailing Yul Edochie’s second marriage to Judy Austin.
Edochie has been on the receiving end of criticism after he was accused of cheating on May Edochie, his first wife.
The film star had announced the arrival of his child with Judy, much to the chagrin of May.
The development has continued to stir discussions on social media, with many Nigerians expressing mixed views.
Dairo is renowned for several of his hit songs including ‘Angel of my Life’, ‘Mo Was Dupe’, and ‘Mo So Ire’.
He has also made the headlines on a few occasions over his views on issues affecting the country.
The musician recently lamented the prevalence of tribalism in Nigeria.
