Ramos out for one month with knee injury

A knock in Spain’s World Cup qualifier against Albania forced Sergio Ramos to be substituted, and the cenre-back will be out for one month with a tear in his knee ligament.

After landing awkwardly when contesting a header, the national team skipper was taken off in the 80th minute, handing the captain’s armband to David Silva. Ramos was rested in Los Blancos’ last league match, but the rotation proved costly as the capital city side were held by Eibar. The club will not want to drop any more points in LaLiga after going four matches in a row without a win, so will be hoping for a speedy recovery, though one month is a long time without one of their most important players.
