Ramon’s death was announced on the verified Twitter handle of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in the early hours of Tuesday.

“WWE is saddened to learn that two-time WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall has passed away. WWE extends its condolences to Hall’s family, friends and fans,” the tweet read.

According to Daily Mail, Ramon suffered multiple heart attacks on Saturday at Marietta, Georgia’s Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.

This was after he suffered a blood clot while recovering from a hip replacement operation he had last week.

He had been on life support where he was unresponsive before family members later removed him from his ventilator.

Ramon began his pro-wrestling career in 1984 with various organisations before joining the World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1991 as The Diamond Studd.

In 1992, he signed with WWE and went by the moniker Razor Ramon with which he went on to become a four-time intercontinental champion and one of the most enduring personas of WWE’s “new generation.”

He re-joined WCW in 1996 and, alongside Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan, became the founding members of the new world order (nWo).

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as Razor Ramon in 2014 and again as a member of the nWo in 2020.
